Tina Song
B. Hth Sci in Traditional Chinese Medicine (UTS) Certificate in TCM (Beijing)
Tina has spent many years cultivating her skills and refining the delicate practice of Chinese Medicine. She spent four years completing her Health Science degree in
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) at the University of Technology
Sydney where she was educated in acupuncture, TCM and Western biomedical sciences.
She continued her training with an internship at the China Japan
Friendship Hospital in Beijing. It was here she witnessed the integration of modern medicine and ancient Chinese medicine in practice. This inspiring sight has influenced her style of practice which is able to work in close conjunction with other treatments and therapies.
Tina continues to expand on her skills
through regular seminars and is committed to educating and motivating
her clients to restore health and achieve their goals, making the
process enjoyable and enlightening. This allows her to keep up to date with current research being undertaken and apply this to practice.
Tina uses many Japanese acupuncture techniques, the gentlest kind of
acupuncture, especially suitable for sensitive patients. In this style the needles used are very fine
and do not need to penetrate deeply to achieve powerful results. This
means you feel more comfortable and can relax and enjoy the treatment
more fully. It is especially good for needle-sensitive clients and those nervous about having acupuncture.
Tina has a passion for women's health, particularly cases of fertility and pregnancy in which she has gained valuable experience and achieved excellent results. She has worked at several fertility clinics throughout Sydney and is very confident at treating a variety of cases. Tina has worked with Rebecca Mar Young at her specialised pregnancy and fertility clinic in Sydney. In addition, Tina has had the privilege of training and working with Jane Lyttleton at The Acupuncture IVF Support Clinic in Sydney CBD and Maroubra. This clinic is the first of its kind in Australia, working closely with Sydney IVF and IVF Australia patients to help improve outcomes of IVF treatments.
